We love chapbooks and over the years we’ve published them by authors like Robert McCammon, Joe Hill, Bentley Little, Richard Chizmar, W.H. Chizmar, and Bev Vincent as one of the ongoing rewards for supporters of Brian James Freeman’s Patreon, which helped lay the foundation for Lividian Publications.
The old fashioned chapbooks we grew up with were essentially folded and stapled paper, and we love our collection of them, but these Patreon Exclusive Limited Edition chapbooks are an entirely different beast: full-color artwork inside and out, a nice interior paper stock, illustrated “endpapers” (inside covers), perfect binding like a trade paperback, and signed by the author and artist. (Check out the photos on the archival page for “You Are Released” by Joe Hill to see what we mean. We published that one in 2022.)
In 2026, we reimagined the chapbook reward by creating the first-ever Lividian Story Box. These seven chapbooks look incredible collected as a set, and they’ll be protected for years to come in our custom-made deluxe rigid presentation box with its separate lift-off lid, which solves a long-running problem we’ve always had: how to display chapbooks on the shelf while keeping them safe, organized, and easy to access.
Lividian Story Box: Volume One shipped in June 2026 to supporters on the $10 tier and above on Brian James Freeman’s Patreon. This item was not listed for retail sale or offered via retailers or distributors. Produced exclusively for supporters in the qualifying tiers, these will not be produced again and the chapbooks are not available for individual purchase.
Chapbook Format
These Patreon supporter exclusive chapbooks are perfect bound, printed entirely in full-color, and signed by the author and François Vaillancourt. Limited to a print run of 600 copies of each chapbook, they shipped together in Lividian Story Box: Volume One.
